Man mugged on Union Street 'punched and kicked'

A man has been mugged on Aberdeen's busiest street.

The 26-year-old was punched and kicked on Union Street at around 4:20am on Friday 10th November.

A number of personal belongings were taken.

Police are looking to trace a man in connection with enquiries. He is described as being white, aged in his 20s or 30s, of stocky build with dark blonde short hair which was shaved at the sides. He was wearing a black Superdry jacket with green writing on it, grey trousers and black and white trainers. He was last seen in the Diamond Street area.

Detective Inspector David Howieson said: "The man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment and thankfully has not been seriously injured. There would have been people about in the city centre at this time and we are appealing to anyone who saw anything to get in touch.

"Anyone who may have seen anything unusual or suspicious is asked to get in touch with us on 101 quoting incident 0373 of 10/11.
