Man Killed in Aberdeenshire Crash
A 46-year-old man has died following a crash between a car and a lorry in Aberdeenshire.
The accident on the A947 Fyvie to Oldmeldrum road happened around 3.30am and involved a Peugeot and a white lorry.
An air ambulance was scrambled, while firefighters cut the driver from the wreckage of his car, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 31-year-old driver of the HGV suffered minor injuries and was taken to Inverurie hospital for treatment.
Police Scotland said the road was closed to allow for crash investigations and appealed for witnesses.
