A 30 year old man has been hurt in an industrial accident in Cove.
He was working on one of the new houses on Charleston Road this morning when it happened.
A spokesman said: “The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was called at 8.40am on Monday, April 9 to assist our emergency service colleagues.
“Operations Control mobilised a number of fire engines to Charleston Road, Aberdeen.
“Firefighters are currently working with their partners to make the area safe.”
John Low, managing director of Stewart Milne Homes is on site. He said: “Our thoughts are with this individual and we, along with his own employer, will be monitoring his condition and providing every support to him and his family.
“We can confirm that no structure has collapsed but it would appear that some material has fallen within the building. We’ve got our full HSE team on-site to make sure it is safe and secure. Once that has been ascertained, we will begin an investigation to find out what exactly happened."
