Man found hurt on Lang Stracht attacked

Police investigating how a man came to be hurt in an Aberdeen street yesterday now believe he was attacked.

The 23 year old was discovered around 3 in the afternoon near Lidl on the Lang Stracht with injuries to his face and neck. He was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.

PC Tom Bashforth of the Divisional Alcohol Violence Reduction Unit said: “The area would have been busy with people shopping in the supermarket plus road users on the Lang Stracht. If you were in the area around the time and saw this incident or noticed anything unusual in the area yesterday afternoon please phone Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 2227 of 7 August.

“A 32 year old man has been arrested in connection with this incident and is currently assisting us with our enquiries."
