Man dies in hospital following collision with bus in Aberdeen
He has been named as 59-year-old Douglas Rae from Aberdeen
A man has died in hospital about a week after he was knocked down by a bus in Aberdeen.
Douglas Rae, 59, was hit by a bus at about 10pm in Union Street near the Holburn Street junction on Monday August 29.
A number of people tried to help at the scene and Mr Rae was rushed to hospital for treatment but has now died, police said.
Officers are continuing to appeal for any witnesses to contact them.
Sergeant Dave Pirie said: "Our thoughts are obviously with Mr Rae's family and friends at this very sad time.
"Enquiries into the incident are still ongoing and, as such, I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time to contact police.
"We believe there was a number of people who came to Mr Rae's assistance in the moments after the collision and I would particularly appeal for them to come forward by contacting the force on 101.''
