An 18-year old-man has appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court in relation to a series of housebreakings into six sheds.

The alleged break-ins occurred in the Rosemount area of Aberdeen in the early hours of Sunday 31st July 2016.

No items were stolen during these incidents.

Constable James Small said: "I would first of all like to thank the members of the public who phoned in about suspicious activity they noticed in the Rosemount area which led to the apprehension of the male.

"We would always encourage members of the public to use heavy duty padlocks to secure any outbuildings or sheds and also where possible to install security lighting to help deter thieves.

"I would encourage the public to continue to report break ins to their sheds to police, even if nothing has been taken."
