Man for court after major drugs haul in Aberdeen

£126,000 of heroin, cocaine and cannabis was found in Ferryhill

Drugs with a 'street' value of more than £126,000 have been recovered in Aberdeen.

A 22-year-old man from London is expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today, Thursday 12th October, 2017, in connection with the recovery of heroin, cocaine and cannabis following an intelligence-led search yesterday afternoon, Wednesday 11th October, within a property in Ferryhill.

In addition nearly £18,500 in cash has been recovered.

PC Alan Gordon, of the Divisional Alcohol Violence Reduction Unit - which led the inquiry - said: "On a daily basis proactive action is taken to rid our communities of drugs, however we need assistance from the public to help us do this so we can target our resources to the right places.

"We are always grateful for the support we have from the public and continue to encourage anyone with concerns regarding drugs to report these to police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 to remain anonymous."
