Man charged after vehicles targeted in Aberdeenshire

A man has been charged following suspicious incidents in Blackburn near Aberdeen.

Police were made aware in the early hours of yesterday morning that a shed door had been forced open and two vehicles had been targeted at Cherry Grove and Dalrymple Circle.

A man was traced in the area shortly after officers attended and subsequently charged.

He is expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today.

Detective Sergeant Bruce Buntain said: "Thank you to those who assisted us with enquiries at the scene."

He added: "It you see suspicious people, vehicles or activity where you live it is crucial you call 101 - or 999 if it is an emergency - as soon as possible so that we can get target our resources to the right places at the right times.

"Opportunistic, acquisitive crimes will not be tolerated in our communities and I would ask the public to keep working with us to help keep our communities safe."
