Man charged over Guild Street drugs haul

A 26 year old man from Wolverhampton has been charged after cocaine with an estimated street value of £11,000 was found in Guild Street yesterday. Thousands of pounds in cash was also recovered - the man's due in court today in connection.

Detective Inspector Fionnuala McPhail said: “We are committed to targeting those intent on bringing drugs to the North East with the sole purpose of making money which can only serve to spread harm and misery in our communities.
