Man charged after £140,000 worth of Class A drugs recovered in Aberdeen

A 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged after police recovered drugs in Aberdeen with a street value of £140,550.

A vehicle was searched on Don Street on Monday afternoon after a man was caught acting suspiciously.

Further searches were carried out along North Anderson Drive, resulting in £136,200 worth of cocaine being seized, along with £4,350 worth of heroin.

He's due to appear in Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Tuesday June 7.

Detective Sergeant Erika Griffiths said: “Drugs causes misery in our communities and Police Scotland is committed to using all tools and tactics available to prevent the sale and distribution of illegal substances.
