Man badly hurt following serious assault in Tillydrone, Aberdeen

A man has been badly hurt after a disturbance in Aberdeen.

The 28-year old was involved in an incident in the Pennan Road area of Tillydrone at around 7:00pm on Wednesday 8th March.

He was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary to be treated for serious but not life threatening injuries.

Detective Sergeant Jamie Sherlock said: "We are following a positive line of inquiry in relation to this incident, however I would still appeal to any members of the public with information to please get in touch.

"We understand there may have been a related disturbance in the Great Northern Road area earlier in the day involving a group of men, so would also appeal to anyone who has information about this to let us know.

"These were completely contained and isolated incidents with no threat to the wider public at any stage.
