Man allegedly assaulted in Peterhead playpark

Police are asking the public for information after a man was allegedly assaulted in a children's playpark yesterday afternoon (Sunday August 22).

The 30-year-old man was supposedly grabbed around his throat and pushed, around 4pm at the Children’s Playpark behind Springbank Terrace, Meethill, Peterhead.

The suspect is described as white, 6ft roughly in height, dark short hair and appeared to be in his 30’s. The suspect had tattoos on his arm and was wearing t-shirt and joggers.

Constable Victoria Mitchell of the Peterhead Community Policing Team said “Thankfully the victim did not sustain any injuries and enquiries into this are ongoing and we urge anyone who witnessed this incident to please get in touch”.
