Man assaulted in Aberdeen street

Police have made an appeal after a man in his 40's was assaulted in an attack earlier this week

Police in Aberdeen are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a man was assaulted in the Brierfield Terrace area of the city.

The incident happened around 11pm on Tuesday, 25 January, when the man was approached by two men who started a conversation and then assaulted him. He was taken to hospital for treatment.

The men then walked off towards Cairncry Road. They are described as both in their mid-20s. They were wearing dark clothing and balaclavas. One was described as around 5ft 6inches tall and the other around 6ft.

Detective Constable Gillian McPake said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who saw these men or knows who they are. Also, if you were in the area at the time and have dash-cam footage or any other information that might help our investigation please get in touch.”
