Man arrested over woman's death in Aberdeen's west end

Police have arrested a man following the death of a woman in Aberdeen.

Her body was found yesterday in a house on the upmarket Angusfield Avenue in Rubislaw.

Detective Inspector Gary Winter, of Police Scotland’s Major Investigation Team, said: “Enquiries are at a very early stage and will continue throughout the coming days. I would like to take this opportunity to stress that there is no threat to the wider community and it appears to have been a contained incident. I would like to thank local residents for their patience."
