Man arrested in Torry murder investigation
A 58-year-old woman has died and a 26-year-old man is seriously injured
A man has been arrested as police launch a murder inquiry into the death of a woman in Aberdeen.
Police were called to Glenbervie Road in Torry yesterday evening over reports a 58-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man were injured.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and the man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
He is now in a stable condition at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
A 24-year-old man has been arrested.
Detective Inspector Gary Winter, of Police Scotland’s Major Investigation Team, said: "Enquiries are at an early stage and there will be a significant police presence and activity in the area of Glenbervie Road, Aberdeen, whilst we carry out our investigation into this incident.
"This would appear to have be an isolated incident and there was no wider threat to the local community."
Roads in the area are still cordoned off today as police continue to investigate.
