A 23-year-old man's appeared in court charged with the murder of Neomi Smith in Brechin over the weekend.
She was found seriously injured on Swan Street in the early hours of Sunday morning and later died.
Keith Rizzo made no plea at Forfar sheriff court - he's been remanded in custody.
