Man To Appear In Court Accused Of Smoking On Aberdeen Flight

A 31-year-old man is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today accused of smoking on-board a flight that was then forced to make an emergency landing at Aberdeen Airport.

The Eastern Airways flight from Teeside to Aberdeen declared a full emergency after smoke was detected in the toilets.

Emergency crews were on the runway, as the flight, carrying 26 people, landed safely at 9:30pm.
