WATCH: North East MSP Douglas Lumsden blasts Labour

The former Aberdeen City Council Co-Leader say's he doesn't understand why Jenny Laing and her suspended Labour colleagues haven't been taken back by Anas Sarwar.

One of the North East's newest MSPs Douglas Lumsden gave his maiden speech in Holyrood today, using it to blast Labour and Anas Sarwar.

The Tory politician was previously Aberdeen City Council Co-Leader along with Jenny Laing.

Laing and eight of her colleagues have been suspended from the party since they formed a coalition with the Conservatives in Council.

Sarwar has spoken warmly about the Aberdeen Councillors since his appointment as leader, but they will all remain suspended.
