Longhaven crash victim named as police appeal for information

Police have named a woman who died on the A90 at Longhaven just three days after Christmas.

Gillian Murray, 57, was pronounced dead at the scene after the incident, which happened at around 10.35am on Wednesday 28 December.

A 19-year-old woman and 72-year-old man, who were also involved in the incident, were uninjured.

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have any information on the incident.

The road was closed for around nine hours while investigations were carried out.

Sergeant Eoin Maxwell, of the North East Road Policing said: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Gillian Murray at this time.

"Investigation into the collision is still ongoing and I would ask anyone who has not already spoken to police or anyone that has dashcam footage of the vehicles to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 0920 of 28 December, 2022."
