LISTEN: Will Large Parts Of Marischal Square Lie Empty Due To Oil Slump?
The campaign group against the Marischal Square development say they have uncovered that proper risk assesments were not carried out by Aberdeen City Council, to find out whether office space in the development will be filled.
The group met with Audit Scotland, the public spending watchdog, yesterdayto discuss a string of wrong-doings by the city council over the £107m development.
Campaigners Lorna McHattie, Bill Skidmore, and Kenneth McHattie attended the meeting.
They say the council have considered the lack of need for city centre office space, after a number of developments have been scrapped, such as 'The Point' development on Belmont Street, at Triple Kirks.
The group say if the office spaces within the development aren't taken up, the tax payers will have to pay the cost.
Our reporter Hope Webb spoke to Campaigner Lorna McHattie about the issue.
