Our reporter Hope Webb has been leading a campaign to remove legal highs from Aberdeen's streets.

Aberdeen City Councillor, Ross Thomson, called for a 'Forfeiture Order' to be granted to Aberdeen City Council's trading standards officers - which would allow them to seize the dangerous drugs from stores selling them.

The order classes legal highs as 'unsafe' rather than illegal.

Edinburgh Council became the first local authority to carry out the move yesterday - which led to the removal of £50,000 worth of legal highs from Edinburgh's streets.

Now our reporter Hope Webb and Councillor Ross Thomson hope to bring the move to the Granite City.
