We've been getting reaction from the people of the North East of Scotland, 24 hours after Donald Trump became the president-elect.
The American billionaire beat Hillary Clinton with the campaign slogan "Make America Great Again".
Mr Trump's Aberdeenshire golf course - Trump International - has divided local opinion into what the US will look like under his presidency.
We spoke to people on the streets of Aberdeen, asking them what they thought about him as a person, a businessman and a politician.
Americans in New York's Times Square spoke of their shock at his election victory, with one voter admitting he felt "at risk'' criticising the president-elect in public.
Mr Trump held a victory party in Manhattan after defeating Mrs Clinton in the early hours of Wednesday, but faced criticism from many people gathered at the famous landmark.
Rick Newmane, from North Pennsylvania, said: "We hope he doesn't start World War Three.''
Mr Newmane's wife Sharon fought back tears as she said she struggled to get out of bed the morning after the election result.
"I've been crying all day,'' she said.
"We went from a class act - (Barack) Obama and Michelle - never a bit of scandal.
