"I could have been killed". Clyde News is talking to an 80 year old who was on board a tourist bus at the Rest and Be Thankful when it careered off the road. Ron Nicholson's wife ended up being thrown down the Lochs and Glens coach as it flipped out of control on the A83 yesterday.

Police, fire and helicopter rescue crews were sent to the scene and there were 25 walking wounded.

The injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, police said, but 11 passengers are in a stable condition in hospital according to NHS chiefs

The 80 year old who was on board tells our reporter Connor Gillies about the moment the coach veered down an embankment

A spokesperson for Lochs and Glens said:

“We are providing all necessary support for those passengers who were on board and the relatives of those who have been injured."

"The driver and the company are co-operating fully with the police investigation to establish the exact cause.”

A special rest centre was set up for those wounded at the ‘Three Villages Hall’ in Arrochar.
