A North East drugs support service is hoping a life-saving kit can help reduce the rising number of drug-related deaths in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

This week, NHS Grampian released statistics showing that drug-related deaths within the local health board are at their highest since records began.

So, charity Drugs Action are offering free Naloxone kits to users or concerned family members. They can be administered when a user has overdosed - and buy vital time until emergency services arrive.

They can be picked up from the charity's centre on Hadden Street in Aberdeen city centre.

Our reporter Hope Webb spoke to Chief Executive of Drugs Action, Luan Grugeon.
