LISTEN: City Council Targeting Landlord Of Legal Highs Store

Published 8th Sep 2015

Aberdeen City Council is to target the landlord of a notorious Aberdeen legal highs store, in a new tactic to shut it down.

The city council have identified the landlord, and will now be writing to them, to ask them to reconsider their lease to 'Harminasion' on King Street.

Councillor Ross Thomson, has been calling for the action in talks with city council chief executive, Angela Scott.

The store, which opened on King Street in June, has already caused anti-social issues, and Aberdeen Arts Centre, which sits opposite the shop, has raised concerns over the safety of their guests.

Our reporter Hope Webb sat down with Cllr Ross Thomson, to discuss the latest move.
