LISTEN: Over 600 Sandbags Handed Out During Aberdeen Floods

Over 600 sandbags were handed out to concerned reisdents and business owners yesterday, during the major flooding throughout Aberdeen.

Some of the worst affected areas were Holburn Street, Hardgate, Kings Gate, Anderson Drive, and Polmuir Road, were several cars were submerged under water.

Aberdeen City Council set up a pick up point for anyone who needed sandbags, at their Tullos Depot.

From around 4:00pm until around 9:30pm, over 600 sandbags were handed out.

Our reporter Hope Webb sat down with Mike Cheyne, from Aberdeen City Council, to talk about the massive operation.
