As a search for missing Seaton woman Nusrat Jahan continues - police have released CCTV placing the 34 year old at Marischal College around 4 PM yesterday.

She was reported missing from her home at around 10:30pm last night - having told friends she planned on heading to the beach area.

A major land, sea and air search involving the Police Scotland helicopter was launched - Area Commander Kevin Wallace says her family can't think why she'd vanish.

Officers leading the search for a missing Aberdeen woman have released a CCTV image of her last confirmed sighting in the hope members of the public might recognise her.

Local Area Commander Chief Inspector Kevin Wallace said: "This is the last confirmed sighting we have of Nusrat before she was reported missing last night and it may well be that she is wearing the same clothing.

"Once again I would appeal to anyone with information about her whereabouts to get in touch as soon as possible. At around 9.30pm last night she suggested to a friend that she planned on heading in the direction of the beach. The area would have become increasingly busy as the match at Pittodrie ended with fans leaving the stadium, so I would ask anyone who remembers seeing a woman matching Nusrat's description to let us know. It could be crucial as we piece together her movements since last night.

"In saying this, we can't rule out Nusrat being elsewhere in the city so would appeal to any member of the public to get in touch if they think they could assist."

Nusrat is described as being around 5ft 3 and of a slim build. She may be wearing flat black slip on shoes, black leggings or skinny jeans, a light grey patterned top, black rimmed glasses and using a white handbag with black band across the top.

Please contact Police on 101 if you have information which could assist.
