An artist who created a Lego-inspired trail around Aberdeen is spreading the love with a new project displayed in the heart of the city for Valentine's Day.

Sketchy Maker is behind the tiny concrete 'Lego' men that went viral last week after people spotted them dotted around the city centre.

For February 14, a 3D-printed Lego-shaped love heart has appeared above the rainbow steps at St. Nicholas.

The artist says he has been making projects with wood and electronics for as long as he can remember before taking up 3D printing seven years ago.

He then got the idea during lockdown to share his artwork with other people which led to leaving them "out in the world for people to discover."

The designer said: "People were outside exercising and I had more free time. As a kid, I loved discovering small things kind of hidden that maybe other people hadn't noticed.

"So, it's just an idea that someone would be going round and notice something that would maybe give them a bit of a smile."

"I enjoy building the project, so I get some enjoyment of making them and I just hope it gives someone a smile or a small bit of joy."
