A couple in Bucksburn are offering a £500 reward to anyone who can identify the killer of their 6-month-old kitten.
Tango was targeted in the area on Sunday with a pellet gun and died the following day.
Police in the area are working to track down whoever is responsible for Tango's death.
Speaking to Northsound News, owners David O'Neill and Mandy Anderson say they want answers.
David said:
"We are disgusted that someone could do this, it's not shooting tins or cans, this was a little kitten.
"We had a lot of sympathy from the community but we thought it was the right thing to do to put up an award.
"For someone to do this is callous they have to be caught."
"Somebody knows that someone has an air rifle it was someone local, it had to be."
He added:
"The police have been amazing, they have took it so seriously."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said:
“On Sunday police received a report that a cat had been injured after being shot by a pellet gun in the area of Sclattie Park, Bucksburn. Enquiries are ongoing into this matter."
