Jeff sets off from Aberdeen to Poland
Our breakfast presenter Jeff Diack is taking four tonnes of supplies
One of Northsound's breakfast presenters, Jeff Diack, has set off to Poland with four tonnes of supplies for Ukrainian refugees.
Jeff, along with friend Murray, have filled a bus with items collected by Adrianna Sosnowska of Own Woman and Kasia Cwiklinska of the Polish Association of Aberdeen.
Speaking about how proud he was of Aberdeen and the support he's recieved, Jeff said, "I'm just going on a road trip - it's the work that these girls have done.
"They've now sent seven lorries and however many vans over and it's all stuff that's so desperately needed.
"Every single thing we have in there (the bus) is basic, it's essential, it's stuff that people need to live.
"It's sanitary products and stuff to wash with, food and blankets to have a sleep. It's stuff that everyone should have."
The radio host has been supported by various local companies, including Simpsons Coaches, who have lent a bus to the pair to take across Europe.
Donations can still be made for items to be sent to Ukraine and Poland at Craigievar House, Dyce. The charities are asking for first aid items, food, batteries, power banks and torches.
