Investigation launched after offshore workers hurt on platform

Two offshore workers have been hurt on a North Sea platform.

One contractor was airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after the incident involving a crane on the Fulmar Installation, owned by Repsol Sinopec, last night.

A spokesman for the company said: “Family members were informed and all remaining personnel on board are safe.

“The platform has been shut down while the incident is investigated further.”

The Health and Safety Executive has been informed.

The Fulmar Installation is 217 miles east of Dundee.
