The Crown Office have launched an investigation into the deaths of an Aberdeen man and woman, who were killed in a fatal motorbike crash last month.

23-year-old Steven Reiach and 24-year-old Dawn Watson died when the motorbike they were on collided with a car on Hilton Drive on April 1st.

It's thought Mr Reiach was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, and died at the scene. Miss Watson was wearing a helmet, but died from her injuries in hospital.

The couple, who had been together since school, left behind a 7-year-old daughter.

Two weeks ago police closed off Hilton Drive to carry out a reconstruction of the accident.

The Scottish Fatalities Investigations Unit will now try to see if any criminal charges should be brought forward.
