A young girl from Inverurie is stealing hearts across Scotland and the world with her talent for singing.
Erin Inglis’s videos have reached audiences as far away as Canada and India, and she has gained a weekly audience of 16,000 people.
The 10-year-old started singing following the death of her mum, Jennifer when she was just five, and she has used her hobby to help her through the tough times.
The family have struggled recently, having lost Jennifer, as well as her younger sister, but singing helps Erin feel closer to them both as she imagines them watching her.
She said: “I really hope she can see me up in heaven and it’s really nice, and I hope she’s proud of me.”
Worldwide support
It was Erin’s dad, Scott, who first noticed her talent, and helped her set up a Facebook page to share videos of her singing songs by Fleetwood Mac, Adele, and more.
He said: “It’s reaching everywhere, we’re getting comments from America daily, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Asia.
“Her YouTube ones are getting viewed more… 1,000-1,500 views per day, per song.”
Aside from releasing videos, Erin has also been using her voice to help out others, including raising money for charities.
Scott said: “She’s doing a lot of charity events as well, she did some events where she was raising some money for the Ukraine effort, she did some singing for people with learning disabilities, so she just likes to help out as much as she can with her singing which is a really nice thing.”
Erin’s younger sister Ava helps out with the videos, offering to film and support where she can so the whole family can be involved.
Scott is a single parent and runs his own business which he says hasn’t been easy, but says he is so proud of how the girls have coped with the loss of their mum and sister, and that he enjoys seeing his kids so happy.
