Inactive explosives found in Aberdeenshire town

A bomb disposal team was called to the Aberdeenshire town of Inverbervie yesterday after the discovery of a "small number of artillery shells."
An area in the market square was taped off by Police as they dealt with the situation.
Police Scotland have told Northsound that the shells were confirmed to be inactive and were safely removed.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 2.35pm on Monday, 7 June, EOD attended an address in Market Square to assess a small number of artillery shells. They were confirmed to be inactive and safely removed."
