The newly elected MSP's for the North East have found something to agree on - we need to see money put into the railway network in the region.

But they don't have a consensus on which projects should be the focus of that investment.

For the likes of the Green Party they want to expand the lines. That means adding communities up through Royal Deeside and back out to the likes of Peterhead, into the network.

They've got their 'Rail for all' campaign but are keen to work with the the 'Campaign for North East Rail' community group.

Meanwhile for the Conservatives say they want to focus on improving what we already have - like speeding up journey times between the North East and the Central belt.

Our Reporter Lewis Michie spoke to Maggie Chapman of the Greens, and Liam Kerr of the Tories on this issue.
