Hunt for fox stolen from Westhill garden
The garden ornament was stolen sometime on Tuesday 21st March
Police hope to reunite a Westhill gentleman with a garden ornament, gifted to him by his late wife more than forty years ago.
The fox was stolen sometime on Tuesday 21st March from his home in the Brimmond Drive area, and the elderly owner’s anxious to get it back.
PC Steve Middleton of the Garioch Community Policing Team said: "The owner of the stolen fox has been left extremely upset by this incident. He is an elderly gentleman and the fox was a given to him forty years ago by his late wife.
"As you can imagine the item is of great sentimental value to him and he is keen to have it returned to him.
"Two men were seen in the area at the time who may have information that could assist the enquiry and if anyone has any information I would ask them to get in touch.
"In the meantime I would urge the public to keep a look out for the fox and if they see it or knows where it is to get in touch. I would be delighted to be able to return the ornament to the owner as he has been particularly distressed that it was taken as it was given to him by his late wife.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101."
