Homes evacuated after flooding in Ballater

Homes have been evacuated in Ballater after flooding struck the area.

The emergency services rescued residents from three homes on Dee Street after the River Dee started to swell.

An elderly couple were taken to the Victoria Albert Hall for shelter.

All of the residents have now been allowed back to their homes - and a flood warning for the area has now been reduced.
