Heroin recovered from Fraserburgh property as 69-year-old charged
Officers made the discovery during an intelligence-led search.
A 69-year-old man has been arrested and charged after officers recovered heroin from a property in Fraserburgh.
Police carried out an intelligence-led search at an address in the Mid Street area of the town on Thursday 25 January where they discovered the class A drug with an estimated street value of £1,000,
Officers also discovered a four-figure sum of cash.
The man is due to appear at Peterhead Sheriff Court at a later date.
Sergeant Geoff Catto, from Fraserburgh Police Station, said: “Drug misuse brings nothing but misery to our communities and we will continue to use every tool and tactic at our disposal to remove these illegal substances from the community.
