Helicopters Back Out Searching For Shaun Ritchie

Police helicopters have been back out searching for a missing 20-year-old from Fraserburgh.

Shaun Ritchie was last seen by friends in woodland near Strichen after a Halloween night out, last October.

His disappearance led to one of the largest missing person's inquiries in Scottish history.

A police spokesperson has said the new hunt is in relation to "ongoing enquiries into the case".

Police, the RAF and the coastguard have previously carried out searches of the area between Fraserburgh and Strichen where Mr Ritchie vanished, and in early searches clothing was found in November.

Searches were stopped in December when no traces of Shaun were found and weather became colder.
