Air Accident Investigators in Norway have revealed the cracked gearbox which led to the fatal Super Puma crash off the coast of Norway in April had been involved in a road accident.

It was on the back of a a lorry which crashed last year - shortly before it was installed on the offshore helicopter.

But they don't know if it caused the fracture which it's believed led to the rotor coming off the aircraft.

Thirteen people were killed in the accident near Bergen, including dad of two Iain Stuart from Laurencekirk.

Two models of Super Puma helicopter are still grounded in the UK while investigations are carried out.
