The overnight road closure of North Anderson Drive at the Haudagain Roundabout has been scheduled.

Work was postponed last week.

From 7 PM on 15 July there will be an overnight closure of both carriageways of the A92 North Anderson Drive between Middlefield Place and the Haudagain Roundabout to facilitate the switchover of the contraflow system to the northbound carriageway.

From 7 AM on 16 July, both lanes of the southbound carriageway will be closed and a contraflow system allowing one lane of traffic flow in each direction will be in operation on the northbound carriageway, for approximately 8 weeks.

A 30 mph speed restriction will be in place reducing to 10 mph at crossover locations. This traffic management operation is necessary for the safety of road users and construction staff who will be undertaking work to construct the new A92 junction as part of the A92/A96 Haudagain Improvement project.

Transport Scotland say they apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank the local community and road users for their continued cooperation.

Completion of the project is anticipated in Winter 2021 subject to any unforeseen circumstances such as exceptional weather.
