Grant amount doubles for North East flood victims
Group Foundation Scotland have doubled the amount available for North East flood victims through grants.
Group Foundation Scotland have doubled the amount available for North East flood victims through grants.
Individuals affected by flooding at the end of December and early January can now get up £1,000 to help restore their homes.
Groups or charities that are supporting victims can also receive £5,000.
It's all thanks to a boost of donations to their appeal fund.
Giles Ruck, CEO Foundation Scotland said “We are aware that the local response in flooded areas has been phenomenal, however it will take many months for those affected to assume a semblance of normality. Our appeal aims to direct funding to those in need and helping them rebuild their homes and lives and provide some relief in what has been an extremely difficult time. Due to a substantial injection of funds from donors we have been able to significantly raise the grant available to individuals. We would urge anyone who has been flooded to apply. ”
