Former Social Worker Accused of Rape
A former social worker at Aberdeen City Council's being accused of raping a client
Ronald Sherriffs - who used to a be a senior member of staff at the City Council - faces a two week hearing at the Scottish Social Services Council.
There are dozens of charges - including twice raping a service user after bringing her home and giving her alcohol.
He's also accused of physically attacking a female relative.
And he's charged with bullying or sexually harrassing a number of colleagues.
The accusations date from 2005 to 2013.
Mr Sheriffs isn't facing any criminal charges - the SCCC says the hearing is meant to protect clients and maintain public confidence in the workforce.
