Former Homeless Aberdeen Chef Set To Feed City's Less Fortunate Out Of His Own Pocket

Published 20th Apr 2015

A local chef, who he himself was homeless for six months last year, is now on a mission to feed Aberdeen's homeless - with his own money.

Bobby Bessant, is a chef at the Newmachar Hotel, but before that found himself homeless last year.

Now that he has found his feet, he is determined to help others who haven't been so lucky.

So his plan is to use his wages, and his days off, to prepare meals, and then travel around the city, handing them out to those in need. His mission starts this Friday.

If you want to follow his journey, or help out, you can go to his facebook page here:

Our reporter Hope Webb went to go meet him, and talk about his ambitious plan.
