A flight that declared an emergency on it's way to Aberdeen has landed safely.

The Eastern Airways flight T3726 from Norwich was scheduled to land at 15:20 but problems with the aircraft prevented it from landing as planned.

An Eastern Airways spokesperson said:

"The captain operating flight T3 726 from Norwich to Aberdeen received a cockpit warning indication relating to the aircraft’s hydraulic system prior to landing in Aberdeen. "As a precautionary measure the airport’s fire service was in attendance, but was later stood down.

"The Jetstream 41 aircraft with 19 passengers and 3 crew on board landed safely at 3.42pm and passengers disembarked the aircraft as normal via the aircraft steps."

We have launched an investigation and engineers will be inspecting the aircraft.

We apologise to passengers for any inconvenience, however the safety of our passengers and crew is our primary concern.
