Firefighters prevent A90 disaster
Dozens of firefighters have battled to prevent a tanker filled with jet fuel exploding on the A90. The alarm was raised on the northbound carriageway near Stonehaven at around 7 o'clock last night. A fire had broken out in the cab and the driver was taken to hospital for breathing smoke. More than 30 firefighters managed to put out the flames before it spread to the 37,000 litres of jet fuel in the tanker. The road was closed overnight for the clear up - but it's now been reopened. The cause of the fire is still a mystery.
