Fire at disused Aberdeen factory suspicious

Police say they're treating a blaze at a disused factory in Aberdeen on Saturday night as suspicious.

It broke out at the Broadford Works site at around 6.10pm and took over 40 firefighters to bring it under control.

Officers say they're following a positive line of inquiry.

The factory has suffered a number of fires since it closed its doors in 2004 and a crews had to put out a small fire at the building on Monday evening.

Scotland's largest collection of at-risk A-listed buildings are contained at the site and permission was granted earlier this year for it to be converted into more than 500 homes.
