Fire Crews Tackling Aberdeen Grass Fire

Firefighters are currently tackling a grass fire near an Aberdeen suburb.

The blaze broke out at the Parkhill Woods near Dyce at 2:10pm.

One appliance from North Anderson Drive, one from Altens and the forestry unit with prime mover, also from Altens are in attendance.

A large area of grass is affected by fire and crews are using a high pressure lance, shovels, grapes, fire beaters and buckets of water to deal with the blaze.

The incident is ongoing and firefighters are expected to be at the scene for some time yet.
