Fire crews tackle blaze at Aberdeen flat

Firefighters spent two hours tackling a blaze at an Aberdeen flat on Sunday evening.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were alerted to a dwelling fire at a property on Urquhart Road shortly after 7pm on November 24.

Three fire crews were dispatched to the scene where they tackled the flames within a top floor flat of a four-storey tenement building.

No one was injured and crews left the scene at around 9pm.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 7.03pm on Sunday, November 24 to reports of a dwelling fire at Urquhart Road, Aberdeen.

“Operations Control mobilised three fire appliances and firefighters extinguished a fire affecting a top floor flat of a four-storey tenement building.

“There were no reported casualties and crews left after ensuring the area was made safe.”
