Blaze breaks out at property in Banff

Nobody has been injured in the fire at Seafield Crescent, but there is damage to the property.

Emergency services have been dealing with a fire which broke out in Banff.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said they received the call to the incident at 11.23am.

Crews attended the scene with six in breathing apparatus using a jet, two hose-reel jets and two thermal imaging cameras with a PPV van also in attendance.

Police also attended the scene.

The blaze was extinguished – nobody has been injured but there is damage to the property.

Inspector Steven McDonald of the Banff Policing Team said: “Enquiries into the cause of the fire are underway and there will be a continued police presence in the area.

“Anyone who has any information, please contact us on 101.”
